As a trustee and long-standing member of the Royal Free Hospital Kidney Patients Association, I first met Tess when she attended some of our committee meetings. As a fellow PKD patient I had discussed various issues of the disease with her on various occasions. I found her extremely warm and friendly to me and I greatly admired her knowledge, commitment and dedication to the PKD charity, particularly on the research front. I have a mutant version of PKD so none of my relatives are affected, which made Tess’s family story all the more moving. I was hugely shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. She was a lovely person and will be greatly missed.
